Hernán Darío Ocampo Giraldo holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Literature from the University of Caldas (with honors), an M.A. in Philosophy, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (recipient of a forgivable loan scholarship). His doctoral research focuses on digital surveillance and datapolitics through the lens of Michel Foucault's work. His main research areas include political philosophy of AI, digital surveillance, biopolitics, governmentality, Latin American philosophy, and contemporary ethics. He is the author of the research-based books Cuerpos cercados: tecnologías políticas y ethos en la obra de Michel Foucault (1973-1979) (2017) and Poder político, entre la coacción y la ética de la resistencia (2018). Among his recent publications are "El archivo Foucault: un corpus documental diverso" (Discusiones Filosóficas, vol. 24, no. 43, 2023) and "Gubernamentalidad: de la tradición biopolítica a la tradición gubernamental" (Cuestiones de Filosofía, vol. 1, no. 18, 2016), along with other contributions in indexed journals.
