Personal profile
Camilo Andrés Niño-Contreras holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Creative Industries from Queensland University of Technology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Music from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He has served as Director of the Music Studies Program and as Coordinator of the Music Department at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where he has been a full-time faculty member since 2013. Dr. Niño has contributed to several academic committees at both Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Queensland University of Technology. His teaching portfolio includes courses in music theory, research methodologies, cultural management, and professional development at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His research interests include music and arts entrepreneurship, the employability of musicians and artists, the creative industries, higher education administration, and music education. He currently holds the position of Head of the Music Department at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
