Personal profile
Andres Eduardo Nieto received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia, in 2014 and 2016, respectively, and holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the same institution.
From 2014 to 2016, he worked at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana as a Research Assistant and collaborated with consulting companies in the digital product development sector. He is currently a full-time Professor in the Departamento de Diseño, Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. His work and research interests span human activity recognition, human anomaly behavior detection, assistive technologies, and telecare systems. He is also deeply interested in the design and development of digital systems, the integration and management of sensors and actuators, and the creation of electronic prototypes for product validation in industrial contexts.
His experience as an electronic engineer working within the design department has given him a broad perspective on the process of designing an electronic product, not only from the technical standpoint but also from the human aspects.
