Nelson Roberto Mafla Terán has been affiliated with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 1999 and is currently Assistant Professor at the Center for Theological Formation. He carries out teaching and research in the field of theology and culture.
He has conducted research on the role of religion in people's lives, the theological thought of Eckhart and Juan Luis Segundo, the experience of God in people living with HIV, the spiritual universe of university students and school religious education in Colombia.
Professor Mafla is a member of the Academia research group and has published over the years a considerable number of books, book chapters and articles in indexed journals, both national and international.
