Personal profile

Miguel León Gómez has been associated with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 1985 and is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Biology. He teaches in the Biology program and also teaches courses in other academic programs, such as Ecology and Nursing, and conducts research in the field of cryptogam taxonomy, especially lichens, bryophytes, and ferns.

 

He has participated in research projects at the Ecology and Systematics Unit of the Biology Department related to plant and lichen ecology.

 

His main research interests are the biology, ecology, and taxonomy of cryptogamic organisms (lichens, macromycetes, bryophytes, and ferns). He is also interested in innovative tools applied to university teaching.
