    He is a doctoral candidate in Information and Communication (University of Barcelona); holds a Master's degree in Education and a specialization in Documentary Information Networks (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana); and has a degree in Advertising (University of Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano).

     

    Currently, he is a full-time professor and researcher in the Department of Information Science, affiliated with the Faculty of Communication and Language (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana). He has taught courses in undergraduate programs in Information Science, Library Science, and Archival Science, Social Communication, Modern Languages, Industrial Design, and Nursing; as well as in graduate programs in the Master's in Historical Archival Science and Memory, Master's in Applied Linguistics of Spanish as a Foreign Language, Master's in Communication, and Specialization in Documentary Information Networks. He is also the coordinator of the internship program for the Information Science, Library Science, and Archival Science degree.

     

    He has worked as a speaker, presenter, and workshop leader at national and international events. He is a member of the research group "Information Science, Society, and Culture" at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, as an Associated Researcher in Category A1 (Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation [Minciencias]).

     

    His research focuses on media and information literacy, transmedia narratives, information retrieval, information evaluation, content curation, scientific intelligence, digital media, learning communities, teaching practices, formative processes, gamification, and information and communication technologies (ICT).
