    Bacteriologist, Master in Biological Sciences, with a double degree in PhD - Biological Sciences from the PUJ of Colombia and Technological Innovation from the UFMG of Brazil. Assistant professor at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Researcher recognized by the National System of Science and Technology of Colombia. Member of the Colombian Association of Dental Faculties-ACFO and the International Association for Research in Dentistry (IADR).

    Research interests: characterization of the oral microbiome and its relationship with systemic diseases. Inflammatory profiles of infectious diseases of the oral cavity. Search, extraction, identification and evaluation of substances, especially of natural origin, with possible biological activity (antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal), and their adaptation into controlled drug release systems.

    Award: "For Women in Science 2021" Program awarded by the L'oreal Foundation, UNESCO, ICETEX and MinCiencias. November 2021.
