Linked to the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, full time professor since 1983 and full time since 1999. Currently associate professor in the Department of Theology.
I develop teaching and research activities in the Theology Career, in the Bachelor's Degree in Theology, in the Ecclesiastical Baccalaureate and in the postgraduate program. I have accompanied the subjects of: theological anthropology, Mystery of God, Christology, Mariology, Sacraments, contextual theologies, Introduction to systematic methods. School religious education, pedagogy and didactics. Coordinator for 5 years of the educational pastoral team.
I have been director of the research group “theology and gender” for 16 years, from there have emerged various research projects, participation in congresses, symposia, conferences and individual and collective publications. As well as consultancies in degree projects, monographs and doctoral theses on feminism, gender and new masculinities.
I have conducted several research projects on Religious Education in Schools, resulting in the publication of three series of textbooks for students and teachers, with Paulinas Publishing House and Voluntad Publishing House. I have served as editorial coordinator for a series of textbooks with the Brothers of the Christian Schools. I have published two articles in a collective book about the ERE in Colombia, referring to theological anthropology and the centrality of theology in the ERE proposal. I have been an advisor for Fe y Alegría, for a new approach to religious pluralism in diverse contexts.
Twelve years ago, I belonged to the Group for Continuing Education in Relational Theology. As a result of this research work, the Seedbed of Relational Theology (Seedbed of Systematic Theology) emerged. I co-published the book "Between the Ecclesial Ideal and the Synodal Impulse" and published the chapter "Which Liturgy for Which Church?" (2024). I participated in the collective publication "Open Windows to Synodality," with the chapter "The Triune God: Circularity and Encounter" (2023).
Currently, we are working with the Seedbed of Relational Theology to publish a collective book, which will include chapters from students who have completed their thesis and contributions from students' participation in conferences related to the topic.
