    Personal profile

    César Mantilla holds a PhD in Economics from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse (IAST), and a professor at Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Loyola-Andalucía. Since 2024, he has been affiliated with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogotá. He currently serves as Chair of the Economics Department.

    His research focuses on behavioral economics and the use of economic experiments, including lab-in-the-field, in the areas of economic development, environment, and health. He has published in top journals of the discipline, including the Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Health Economics, and Experimental Economics. He also serves as Associate editor of the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics.
