    Mabel Rocío Hernández Díaz has been linked to the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2001 and is currently an assistant professor at the Institute of Public Health. Develops teaching tasks in the Master of Public Health, Master of Safety and Health at Work, Master of Labor and Social Security Law, Specialization in Human Talent Management and Specialization in Safety and Health at Work; and research activities in the field of health and work.
    She has developed various investigations from the Institute in the field of health and work that contemplated topics of “Perception of employment, work and health conditions in young professionals in the area of human health care. Bogotá, D.C. Colombia"; “The role of Digital Platforms in Sustainable Development: an analysis of the working conditions, health and environment of digital delivery workers, Bogotá D.C, Colombia”; “Theoretical model for the analysis of causes in the investigation of occupational diseases in Colombia”; Systematic review of literature for poisoning with biological and chemical agents due to food consumption for the INS in the area of Occupational Risks and Social Security”, among others.
    She has been the management coordinator of Occupational Health and Safety services for companies with national coverage of the different Occupational Risk Administrators. Likewise, she has served as a consultant in the generation of technical documents for the Ministry of Social Protection of Colombia related to the Technical Regulation for the protection of workers from biological agents in the provision of human health services; the National Plan for the Prevention of Silicosis, Coal Miners' Pneumoconiosis and Asbestosis; the Evidence-Based Comprehensive Occupational Health Care Guides for the pathologies of pneumoconiosis, occupational hearing loss, musculoskeletal injuries in the upper limb, low back pain, occupational asthma, work-related lung cancer, occupational dermatosis, exposure of workers to benzene and its derivatives, organophosphates and carbamates; and on the prevention of Drug Dependence in work environments.
    Her main research interests include Occupational Health and Safety, occupational epidemiological surveillance, occupational health promotion. She is also interested in health-work relationship.
    She has over the years published original articles in international academic peer-reviewed journals. The professor is a reviewer for the magazines Salud Bosque, Revista Médica Faculty of Medicine, University of Antioquia on the topics of safety and health at work.
