Personal profile
Luis Miguel Peña has been affiliated with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2021. He is currently an instructor in the Department of Cultural Studies, within the Faculty of Social Sciences. He teaches in the Master's Program in Latin American Cultural Studies and conducts research in the fields of gender, education, and theology. His research interests include the construction of masculinities and experiences of homoeroticism in military contexts, as well as studies on the intersection between religious settings (such as Catholic seminaries), the formation of believing homosexual subjectivities, and the impacts on individuals who have lived experiences in ECOSIEG environments (Efforts to Change Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, or Gender Expression). He is a member of the research group Culture, Knowledge, and Society, within the Faculty of Social Sciences.
