Overview

Personal profile

Luis Gabriel Marín Collazos holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, a Master’s degree in Information and Communications Sciences, a Specialization in Educational Assessment, and a degree in Electronic Engineering. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

His research agenda includes the operation and coordination of energy communities, particularly based on robust predictive control strategies, as well as the development of methodologies (neural networks, Type-1 and Type-2 fuzzy systems, Support Vector Regressor –SVR–, and deep learning) for modeling nonlinear systems with uncertainty characterization, such as electricity demand and renewable energy resources. His work also focuses on energy system planning considering the impact of uncertainty in renewable resources and demand as a strategy to reduce carbon emissions and increase energy efficiency, as well as on the development of methodologies to support the transition toward resilient energy distribution systems based on microgrids.
