Luis Alfredo Escalante Molina has been associated with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2001 and is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Theology. He teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs of the Faculty of Theology, in addition to conducting research in the areas of Christology, sacraments and fundamental theology.
His research has addressed various topics, including theological language, the popular reading of the Bible, and the processes of peace and reconciliation. He has published a significant number of book chapters and articles in national and international academic journals. His work contributes to the dialogue between theology and society, especially in contexts of peace building
