Personal profile

I am a Microbiologist at Los Andes University, Bogotá-Colombia, MSc in Microbiology and Ph.D in Biological Science at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ), Bogotá-Colombia. 

I have been teaching at PUJ for 25 years, in the areas of General and Environmental Microbiology.

I belong to the Environmental and Industrial Biotecnology Research Group (GBAI) participating in the line of research Biodegradation and Biodeterioration.

Since 2019 I have led the Research Seedbed on Degradation of Polluting Plastics Polymers where we carry out basic and applied research on plastics degradation thorugh physicoquemical pretreatments and microbiological treatmetns.
