    Luz Marlen Ahumada has been with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2024 and is currently an assistant professor in the Industrial Engineering Department. She teaches in the academic programs of Industrial Engineering and Mechatronic Engineering, and conducts research in the areas of fuels and computational fluid dynamics.


    She has developed research on energy transformations, new energies, fuels and phase change models in natural gas grids in the oil&gas sector.
    Her main research interests include: traditional and renewable fuels, gas liquefaction and computational simulation of transport phenomena.


    She has 1 patented invention of a gas cooling and liquefaction system in Colombia and Peru, 4 numerical software for solving equations with high order discretization methods, and scientific articles on the topics mentioned above.
