Personal profile

Roa-Fuentes, Ph.D., is a Biologist from Colombia. She has a Ph.D. in Science from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where she studied ecosystem processes such as plant biomass allocation, N cycling, and plant functional ecology in tropical dry forests. Before the PhD, she earned her Master of Science in Ecological Restoration from the same university; his first focus was ecological restoration in tropical forests. She teaches Restoration Ecology and Functional Ecology in the Ecology and Territory Department of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. During the last years Dr. Roa-Fuentes has focused her research on secondary tropical forest dynamics to get knowledge to implement ecological restoration.
