    She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and a master's in the same field. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She works full-time as a professor at Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (UNAB). She has led applied research projects focused on designing living laboratories to strengthen the agricultural sector in Santander and has participated in projects aimed at improving surgical patient care pathways through design thinking and lean manufacturing approaches. She has also supervised undergraduate and master's theses. Her work has been published in both national and international indexed journals such as Suma de Negocios, Inge-Cuc, and Cogent Engineering, among others. Her research interests include applying Operations Research and Management Science (OR/MS) methods to industrial processes, such as facility location, layout design, and capacity analysis, as well as healthcare services.
