Luis Albeiro Perdomo Sandoval is a doctor in Nursing and Health at the University of Barcelona, Spain, with a scholarship from the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Colombia. Nurse, a specialist in general epidemiology, master in epidemiology, and master’s in applied anthropology: health and community development. With 11 years of professional experience, of which has served as a nurse in disease prevention and health promotion programs; leader of the collective health interventions plan; nurse in emergency, internal medicine, and surgical patient services; university professor at the Universidad de la Sabana and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana; and epidemiologist of surveillance and control of events of public health interest and infections associated with health care, with extensive experience in surveillance, control, and prevention systems in the spread of the pandemic by COVID-19 of a highly complex institution. Additionally, he has published articles in scientific journals on sexual violence, barriers to self-care of sexual health of sex workers, and the role of the nursing professional in epidemiological surveillance
