Luis Albeiro Perdomo Sandoval is a nurse, specialist in General Epidemiology, Master of Epidemiology, Master of Applied Anthropology: Health and Community Development, and Doctor of Nursing and Health with International Mention from the University of Barcelona, Spain. He has 14 years of professional experience in public health, epidemiology, clinical nursing, epidemiological surveillance, infection prevention and control, university teaching, and research.

He is currently a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department of Nursing in Collective Health at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá campus. His research experience focuses on collective health, applied epidemiology, public health surveillance, sexual and reproductive health, gender, stigma, mental health, sexual violence, sex work, and social inequities in health. He has published scientific articles on sexual violence in Colombia, self-care practices and sexual health risks among cisgender women sex workers, prevention of sexually transmitted infections, social stigma and mental health, as well as the role of nursing in epidemiological surveillance systems.
