    Julio César Cuenca Tinitana is a Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Loja (Ecuador) and a Doctoral Student in Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia). His research focuses on mathematical optimization, control theory, and power systems. He works on economic dispatch under uncertainty (IGDT, stochastic programming), load and renewable generation forecasting (ARMA, SVM, LSTM, Kriging), and model validation through Hardware-in-the-Loop and microgrid prototypes. He has led institutional projects, supervised undergraduate theses, promoted the use of Julia and MATLAB for optimization, and is an active member of IEEE.
