Juan Pájaro has been affiliated with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2024 and currently serves as an instructor professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. His academic work includes teaching at the Faculty of Medicine and conducting research in artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and deep learning applied to healthcare.

He has conducted various research projects on the design of machine learning models applied to the healthcare, financial, and hydrocarbon sectors. Additionally, he has served as a consulting leader at the Center of Excellence and Appropriation in Big Data and Data Analytics. He has also worked as a consultant for Cuenta de Alto Costo and several Health Promotion Entities (EPS) on digital adoption and data science topics.

His main research interests include design science research, artificial intelligence, and the development of algorithms to improve decision-making in diagnosis, disease prognosis, and treatment selection.
