José Orlando Reyes Fonseca has been linked to the Pontifical University since August 2, 1999 and is currently Associate Professor of the Center for Theological Formation (CFT). He teaches in the Academic Programs of the Department and the CFT of the Faculty of Theology and conducts research in the field of systematic theology, pedagogy and school religious education.

He has developed several researches in education, theology, school religious education and pedagogy of theology. He has been Director of Continuing Education of the Faculty of Theology. He has also been a guest professor at Catholic Colleges, Major Seminaries, Religious Communities and the Center for Religious Studies (CER) of the Conference of Religious of Colombia (CRC).

The professor's main research interests include the relationship between Education and Theology. He is also interested in the pedagogical processes of teaching and learning of Theology. He is also interested in Mariology, Christology, Ecclesiology, Sacramentology and Liturgy.

The professor has published over the years a considerable number of original articles, books and book chapters, and has participated in academic events with national and international papers.
