Full Professor of the Faculty of Theology, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (since 1999).
His academic and research interests are: theological anthropology, interreligious theology, public theology, school religious education, education in values, ethical-political training and logopedagogy. He has written twenty books and more than seventy articles on his fields of interest.
