Overview

Personal profile

I'm an economist with a Master's in Economics and currently a PhD candidate in Economics at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with experience in applied research on the care economy, gender gaps in the labor market, and working conditions in Colombia. I am currently Project Manager of the Gender and Economy initiative, where I lead the coordination of academic, communicative, and technical outputs focused on unpaid domestic work and the recognition of care as a pillar of social well-being. In this role, I have deepened my study of care systems at both the national and district levels, particularly through the monitoring and analysis of initiatives such as the Manzanas del Cuidado in Bogotá and the strategies of the National Care System, which are central to the research group's objectives. I have also worked in close collaboration with the Labor Observatory at Universidad Javeriana, contributing to the development of publications, bulletins, podcasts, and press articles aimed at highlighting labor conditions in the care sector and gender inequalities in employment. I have experience in quantitative analysis applied to gender and care issues, especially through the use of databases such as ENUT and GEIH. These analyses have allowed me to study the distribution of unpaid care work, its impact on women's labor force participation, and gender gaps in the labor market.
