Personal profile

I am the Director of the Department of Philosophy and History of Law at the Faculty of Law, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. I hold a PhD in Law from the University of Los Andes. As an attorney with the Legal Clinic on Law and Territory, I have led litigation in cases involving communities asserting territorial and environmental rights. I previously worked as a researcher at the Toledo International Center for Peace, where I monitored the dynamics of the armed conflict in Colombia. Since 2017, I have been a member of the Tandem Team at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany. Most recently, I was appointed as a negotiator in the Socio-Legal Peace Table of Buenaventura.
