    Joan Larrahondo (he/his/him) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. His research interests encompass geoenvironmental engineering and shallow geothermal energy. Joan's teaching experience includes soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering, environmental geotechnics, and engineering geology. He is a member of the Colombian Geotechnical Society (SCG), Colombian Geothermal Association (AGEOCOL), and United States Council on Geotechnical Education and Research (USUCGER).
