Juan Camilo González Vargas has been affiliated with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2024 and is currently a temporary instructor in the Department of Engineering. He teaches in the Systems Engineering program and conducts research in the fields of information adaptation, augmented reality, and education.
He has carried out various research projects focused on educational topics related to the learning of cultural and natural heritage. He is currently the head of the programming section.
Professor González's main research interests include the use of immersive technologies, software engineering, and development. He is also interested in applying this knowledge across different educational contexts.
Over the years, he has published a considerable number of original articles (with more than 133 citations) in highly reputable peer-reviewed international journals.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
