    Personal profile

    Sound engineer with masters' degrees in Education and Biomedical Engineering, and currently pursuing my doctoral degree at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ). My trajectory is defined by interdisciplinary research, integrating areas of engineering, education and biosciences. As a researcher, I have been associated with several academic groups, exploring areas such as medical signals and images. My work has included the analysis of cardiac dynamics and the development of noise-reduction algorithms in echocardiographical imaging. My contributions have covered the design of pulmonary auscultation systems to support the diagnosis of respiratory pathologies and the development of innovative teaching tools. My experience also includes academic management, were I served as a program coordinator leading processes of accreditation and curricular design as well as project consulting for acoustic rooms design and audio systems implementation. Currently, my research interests have expanded toward bioacoustics and ecology. In my dual role as Curator of the Environmental Sounds Collection (IAvH-CSA) at the Humboldt Institute and as a doctoral student, I apply engineering methods to the preservation of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
