Es doctor en Administración con énfasis en finanzas de la Universidad del Valle. Su línea de investigación corresponde a la identificación y medición de los conflictos de intereses (riesgo moral) en los contratos, principalmente los de índole financiero, en ese sentido ha contribuido con la literatura en la definición de unas categorías de riesgo moral que permiten mejorar los modelos logísticos para los cálculos de probabilidades de incumplimiento en el crédito empresarial al tiempo que se determina el impacto de dicho riesgo en el cumplimiento de la obligación.
