Jorge Mario Sánchez Noguera is a full-time faculty member in the Departamento de Estudios del Lenguaje at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Industrial de Santander, a Master’s degree in Literature from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and a PhD in Literature from the Universidad de los Andes. He has taught university courses in the areas of literature, literary theory, language, communication, reading and writing, discourse analysis, and research methodology. He has published articles on reading and writing as well as on Latin American literature in indexed journals and academic books. His research interests focus on twentieth- and twenty-first-century Latin American literature, academic reading and writing, computational linguistics, and natural language processing.
