    PhD in History, Oxford University, England. Theologian and Magister in Philosophy from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Graduate in Social Sciences from the National Pedagogical University, Bogotá.

    He was Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences between 2005 and 2006. He is currently an associate professor of Colombian history from the 19th and 20th centuries in the Department of History of the Faculty of Social Sciences and investigates the presence of the Jesuits in Colombia from the end of the 19th century until the Second Vatican Council.

    Visiting Professor at Georgetown University between January and July 2020 and at Seattle University between January and June 2022.
