    Overview

    Personal profile

Juliana Ossa is a theologian, anthropologist, and holds a master’s degree in liberal studies, with academic training at Harvard Divinity School, The New School for Social Research, and Concordia University. Her teaching experience has developed across various faculties at Harvard University, where she has taught and collaborated in courses on spirituality, migrationBokysticism, cultural borders, and spiritual care. Her trajectory combines research, teaching, and community work, always from an interdisciplinary and critical perspective, committed to social change and interreligious coexistence.

Her research focuses on marginalized spiritualities, ancestral epistemologies, and symbolic forms of resistance, exploring spirituality as political agency and the intellectual history of women in religious contexts. Her work seeks to make silenced voices visible and to articulate ethical frameworks that link academic research with contemporary social and spiritual struggles. In addition, she has worked as an editor, journalist, and chaplain, and has been recognized with the Certificate of Distinction in Teaching awarded by Harvard’s Bok Center in 2019 and 2020.
