He has 20 years of experience in Clinical Genetics, 10 years in Forensic Genetics and 22 years in clinical and basic research, as well as in undergraduate and graduate teaching. Full professor and director (E) of the Institute of Human Genetics of the Faculty of Medicine of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. President of the Colombian Association of Genetic Doctors. Advisor to the Surveillance and Monitoring Program for children with congenital defects of the Ministry of Health of Bogotá. Editor of the Universitas Médica magazine. Orphan Diseases Coordinator of the San Ignacio University Hospital. Member of the National Orphan Diseases Table representing the ACSC. The specialty topics are in the areas of Medical Genetics, Congenital Malformations, Demography, Clinical Research Administration, Forensic Genetics, Digital teaching and evaluation tools. Author of more than 70 scientific articles, 5 books and several chapters in academic publications.
