Personal profile

Alejandro García-Cajiao has been working at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2019 and is currently a professor in the Department of Physiological Sciences of the School of Medicine. He is a physician with specialization in Internal Medicine, developing teaching work in the programs of medicine, nursing, pharmaceutical chemistry and nutrition. Likewise, since 2020 he coordinates the subject Fundamentals of Clinical Practice II belonging to the Department of Internal Medicine. 

He has participated in initiatives of curricular integration of global environmental change and health for the medical school.

The professor's main research interests are clinical applied physiological sciences, pharmacology, climate medicine and planetary health.
