    PAULA ANDREA GARCÍA ARENAS, is a Theologian, Master in Biblical Theology and Doctor of Theology. She is linked to the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2013 and is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Theology. She teaches in various theology programmes and conducts research in the field of Latin American Biblical Hermeneutics.

    Her main research interests include Latin American biblical hermeneutics and the contextual reading of the Bible, especially in the area of women's groups.

    She has published a considerable number of original articles throughout her professional career, both in national and international journals, with reputable peers, such as:

    - Religions (Q1)

    - Cuestiones Teologicas (Q1)

    - Theologica Xaveriana (Q4).

     

    He has developed various research projects on contextual readings of the Bible in the ecclesial sector. He has been the lead researcher of two research projects, one financed by Act - Swedish Church, resulting in research products such as: three pedagogical booklets, a degree work, a monograph and a doctoral thesis, as well as a biblical emphasis course in the theology degree; the other financed in an internal call by the vice-rectorate of research of the University.
