Overview
Personal profile
I am an Electronic Engineer, M.Sc. in Electronics, and currently a Ph.D. candidate in Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. My research focuses on soft robotics and bioengineering, with an emphasis on the design of reinforced silicone pneumatic actuators and the development of flexible sensors based on nanomaterials such as reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and laser-induced graphene (LIG). These sensors enable the monitoring of strain and electromyography signals, facilitating the control of hand exoskeletons aimed at post-stroke rehabilitation. Throughout my academic career, I have gained experience in material synthesis and characterization, biocompatibility testing, CAD design, and finite element simulation, as well as in the implementation of data acquisition circuits and biomedical signal processing. I have participated in interdisciplinary projects integrating electronics, advanced materials, and intelligent control, contributing to applied knowledge in the field of robotic rehabilitation. My goal is to establish a research line that advances soft robotics and promotes the development of innovative, scalable, and socially impactful medical devices.
