Decano de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana seccional Cali. Doctor en Administración. Ha sido director del Departamento de Gestión de Organizaciones de la misma facultad y director del Centro de Consultoría y Educación Continua de la universidad.
Como investigador Senior del Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Colombia, su investigación se concentra en Emprendimiento, Innovación y Marketing Estratégico. Actualmente hace parte de la Red Internacional en Investigación en Emprendimiento Global, Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM Colombia) y ha publicado numerosos libros en innovación y emprendimiento y sus artículos más recientes han sido publicados en revistas internacionales como Management Decisions, Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, entre otras.
Profesor en cursos de posgrado de Organizational and Management Theory, Innovation and Value Creation, Product development and Branding; Y en seminarios doctorales en Emprendimiento, e Innovation Management.
