Personal profile

Fabián Gil has been affiliated with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2000 and is currently a full professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He teaches in the undergraduate medicine program, the master's programs in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics, and the doctoral program in clinical epidemiology. His research focuses on survival analysis, statistical simulation, and palliative care.

He has coordinated the master's program in clinical epidemiology, and his primary research interests include the relative survival of cancer patients, demography, and palliative care. Additionally, he has a strong interest in programming with R, Python, and Julia.

Throughout his career, Professor Gil has published numerous original articles (with over 2300 citations) in prestigious national and international peer-reviewed journals.
