Francisco Javier Quintero Cortés is an Assistant Professor at the Civil Engineering Department at Pontificial Xaverian University. His research focuses on the intersection between nanotechnology and electrochemistry: both the electrochemical synthesis of nanomaterials and the use of nanomaterials in electrochemical systems such as energy storage, environmental remediation and carbon capture, usage and storage. Francisco is a Fulbright alumn who is determined to promote STEM education among low income communities around Colombia, such as Páez, Cauca - his hometown.
