    Dr. Gutiérrez is an Assistant Professor at the Centre of Theological Formation, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He is a Junior Research Fellow (Postdoc) in Humanities and Social Sciences at Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford, and Research Fellow at Georgetown’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs. His work bridges research, teaching, and international consultancy on religion and peacebuilding.

    Dr. Gutiérrez earned his DPhil in Theology and Religion from Oxford with highest honours, supervised by Alister McGrath and Maria Power, and examined by John Paul Lederach and Mark Wynn. Funded by Porticus, his thesis explored the peaceable role of religious imaginaries in the Colombian Truth Commission‘s Final Report. He also holds an MSt  in Science and Religion (Oriel College, Oxford) and degrees in philosophy from Javeriana (MA) and La Sabana (BA).

    His interests include imagination, spirituality, artistic world-building, and the peace potential of dialogical and analogical reasoning.
