Personal profile
Sociologist with a Master's Degree in Cultural Studies, and currently a PhD Candidate in Environmental and Rural Studies. Her work has concentrated on understanding how agri-food systems are transformed and the implications these changes have for communities, particularly regarding food security, food sovereignty, and environmental sustainability. In her doctoral research, she has focused on family agroecosystems, biocultural memory, and agroecology, as this involves considering the deep and complex interrelationship between social and ecological systems. In this way, she explores paths toward envisioning more just alternatives for food systems.
