PhD Candidate in Social and Human Sciences at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Classified as an Associate Researcher by MinCiencias (the Colombian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation), he is an Anthropologist with Master's degrees in Social Sciences (Universidad de Caldas) and Human and Social Sciences (Université Paris-Est Créteil, France). He is a full-time tenured professor at Universidad de Caldas and a member of the "Communication, Culture, and Society" research group (Category A). His publications, based on qualitative and quantitative data analysis, address topics such as student attrition, peace and conflict, public policy, and aging.
Currently, his doctoral thesis focuses on the social support networks and well-being of older adults, consolidating his primary line of research interest.
