Diego Agudelo Grajales has been affiliated with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana as a full-time professor since October 1, 1999, and is currently a tenured professor in the Department of Humanities in the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences. He teaches in all programs, from the subject of Institutional Ethics and especially in the Philosophy program with the subject of History of Philosophy. He also teaches the subject of Ethics and Social Responsibility in postgraduate programs.
He has conducted research related to theology, education, family, ethics, and scientific integrity, among other topics. He has been director of the Department of Humanities from April 15, 2016, to April 25, 2025. He currently heads the De Humanitate research group.
He has published research articles in high-impact national and international indexed journals, book chapters, and research books related to topics of interest. He belongs to various national and international networks related to ethics and theology, including the Catholic Theological Ethics in the World Church (CTEWC) network.
On April 8, 2024, he was appointed by the rector to serve as chair of the Institutional Research Ethics Committee of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Cali Section.
