    Diego Ricardo Camacho Cajiao has been affiliated with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2003 and is currently an instructor professor in the Department of the Dental System, coordinating the course Management of Pulpal and Periapical Lesions and the endodontics emphasis in undergraduate studies, and coordinating the preclinical microsurgery course in endodontics at the graduate level. He is part of Clinical Endodontics II and III, which are taken in the second year of the graduate endodontics program.  

    In the administrative field, he has held the position of Head of the Endodontics Section since July 2016, where he is responsible for managing the section’s human resources, creating new courses and their syllabi, overseeing the content of the section’s courses, and the section’s role within the faculty’s adult clinics. He develops evaluations for the preparatory exams conducted by the department as a requirement for student promotion.  

    His main areas of interest are the use of technology and advancements, gamification as a learning method, and microsurgery in endodontics.  

    He has carried out research work in the field of endodontics at the undergraduate level and in microsurgery in endodontics at the graduate level.  

    He has maintained an independent clinical practice with more than 25 years of experience.  

    He completed a diplomate in Prosthetic and Surgical Techniques in Osseointegration Implants in 2007, University Teaching at Universidad Javeriana in 2010, and a diplomate in Gamification and Game-Based Learning in 2025.
