Overview

Personal profile

I am an Electronic Engineer with an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Engineering, with a strong background in machine learning and biomedical data processing, including digital image processing and digital signal analysis. During my Ph.D. studies, I worked on my thesis about brain electrical activity and neuroimaging, using measures of functional connectivity and Reproducing Kernel Hilbert spaces. My entire academic career has been devoted to research in computer science and biomedical engineering, focusing on representation and classification algorithms for biomedical data.  I have worked on the formulation and execution of biomedical engineering projects using various data sources, including electroencephalography, ultrasound imaging, and magnetic resonance imaging, among others. Additionally, I am currently a lecturer at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, where I teach courses such as Digital Image Processing, Signals and Systems, and Basic Programming, among others. I also have strong programming skills in C/C++, Matlab, and Python.
