Graduate in Religious Sciences and Ethics from the Fundacion Universitaria Juan de Castellanos de Tunja, Master and Doctor in Theology from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He is currently a full time professor in the Faculty of Theology at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. His research interests are focused on interreligious dialogue, mysticism and sacred secularity. In October 2022 his work The Cosmotheandric Dimension of Death: Buddhism and Christianity in Dialogue received the Raimon Panikkar International Prize for the Spanish language.
