Her career is related to research in the area of tropical infectious diseases, focusing on the study of the molecular biology and epidemiology of vector-borne infectious agents. She is the author of scientific works and publications in the fields of parasitology and bacteriology, where she has studied various biological, cellular, and molecular aspects of the parasite causing Chagas Disease, Trypanosoma cruzi, and the eco-epidemiology of infectious diseases in wild ecosystems.
