Personal profile

Camilo Cogua-Rodriguez has been affiliated with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2006 and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Visual Arts. He teaches in the Master’s program in Audiovisual Creation and the Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, while conducting research in the fields of volumetric and traditional animation.

He has participated in audiovisual and theatrical creation projects in Spain and Colombia, receiving multiple nominations at international festivals. He was the founder and mentor of the research group Reclab and served as the Coordinator for the Audiovisual emphasis in the Visual Arts program.

Professor Cogua-Rodriguez's primary research interests include animation related to live arts and sculpture. He is also interested in collective work at the intersection of the arts and technology.

He has published original articles and has served as an editor for two books, in addition to acting as a reviewer for various journals in his field.

He is a member of the Red Sur a Sur and ASIFA Colombia.
