    Personal profile

    Professor at the Faculty of Engineering. Physician from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, holding master's degrees in Philosophy (Magna Cum Laude) and in Energy and Sustainability (PUJ), as well as a specialization in Human Rights (UOC). He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Engineering at Javeriana University, where he conducts research on energy transition planning with emphasis on the deployment of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) in Colombia. He serves as Colombia's ambassador to the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS), is a member of the Nuclear Affairs Research Group of the Colombian Geological Survey, and collaborates with the Nuclear Physics Group of Universidad de Antioquia. His research experience includes stochastic modeling, levelized cost of energy (LCOE) assessments, energy security, and policy analysis for decarbonization. His areas of interest comprise nuclear energy, climate change, and environmental health.
