    Camilo Torres Pardo, Ph.D. is a passionate educator and researcher who currently serves as Assistant Professor and Director of the Civil Engineering Program at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. His work combines technical excellence, academic leadership, and a transformative vision of engineering education.

    A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Torres Pardo earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Purdue University, after completing his undergraduate and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. His research interests include sustainable water resource management through integrated systems models (WEF+ nexus), hydrological modeling, and watershed analysis in mixed land-use areas.

    As an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), Dr. Torres Pardo actively participates in global academic networks. He currently serves as a Program Evaluator for ABET.

    His interests also include curriculum design, continuous improvement, pedagogical innovation, and educational accreditation. He firmly believes that educating engineers goes far beyond teaching formulas — it’s about preparing critical, ethical, and visionary leaders capable of transforming the world.
