Overview
Personal profile
Economist interested in the intersection of public finance, taxation, and development. My work focuses on subnational taxation, particularly property taxes, and their role in shaping local government capacity, public service delivery, and urban development.
I am currently conducting research on why citizens comply with local taxes and how tax morale, enforcement, and perceptions of government performance interact to influence compliance behavior. My broader goal is to contribute empirical evidence to improve tax design and fiscal policy at the local level in developing countries.
I combine applied econometrics, impact evaluation, and quantitative data analysis to explore causal relationships and generate policy-relevant insights. I have experience working with household surveys, administrative tax records, and geospatial data.
